We spent the day exploring the neighborhood. Right outside the north gate of kfar hastudentim (the student village) there is a mini strip mall area with Mr. Zol - our supermarket, Burger's Bar, Pizzeleh, a cafe, and a bank. We ventured our way up to campus and at 3pm had orientation. At night, we travelled into the city via taxi (about 10 min.). On Emek R'faim, we went to dinner at a nice restaurant, Joyie, for Kane's birthday. We got her a special birthday dessert and even could order wine with dinner! (so cool!! we're over 18 amazing!) Our waiter, Yadin, was awesome and reminded us Marylanders a bit of Shai...
After dinner, we piled back into cabs and went to Ben Yehuda (my 1st time!) It was quite an interesting scene. A mix of like 13 year old israeli boys, all the American post-high school yeshiva kids, and then there was us. We felt a bit out of place, but there were alot of other Rothberg kids and so we bar hopped and had a good time.
