Jessie Visits!!

Thurs. March 5 - Jessie Arrives in Israel! 

I almost went to the airport to surprise her but it would not have worked ou with timeing .. oh well..

Thursday night was teh Masa IDAN RAICHEL concert!!! AMAINZGINGNIGINIGN!!!!!! we went and stood down adn got to be front row right infornt of the stage! it was sooo good! 

Friday, I went to TLV to meet Jessie! We hung out at a cafe on the beach with her friend Steve, who she was visiting.. He's ad medical school here. 

It was soo nice to have Jessie here with me!!!!

Weve never been here together and she also had only been to israel before on seminar so that was 8 years ago.

itw as so nice to be able to do it all together. we spent a shabbas at my aunt and uncle's house in kiryat moshe and a couple of our cousins were there with their babies (avigael, rinat and roi and talia, noam and chen and noya and the twins) which was so fuN! 

then we spent sunday having a big jerusalem day - the shuk and ben yehuda and shopping. so fun. then we had purim whic was great we spent monday night and tuesday in tel aviv. mon night we stayed by steve in tlv, and went to one of his friend's parties and then we went to Rechov Florentine which is basically a 6 block block party where you cant move whatsoever b/c there are so many people. it was fun and we ran into a bunch of my friends who were there but not everyone b/c my phone woudnt work and there were just too many people. then tuesday we were gonna go to the purim parade in holon but insteaed ended up spending the whole day at nachlat benyamin and shuk hacarmel.  and i finally got the hamsa necklace that i saw weeks ago there that i fell in love with! so exciting! i love itt!!

 then we were back to jerusalem for shushan purim! so much purim!  oh btw we ddressed up as pebbles and bambam for all of purim. so fun! check out pix on fb/picasa soon..we wentt o megilla reading in nachlaot at kol rinah. then spent alot of the night walking around b/w nachlaot, ben yehuda, mamilla, several bars, etc.. meeting people, leaving people, etc... overall a fun night..  im so gald my sister was here so that the two of us coudl go off togetehr! 

 then wenesday we went to my aunts house for seudah and then walked back thru jerusalem, went to the old city, the kotel, then dinner and then sleep! by this point my cold felt pretty yicky! thrusday after class we headed to ein gedde. got there at sunset.. so pretty.. stayed at a hostel... ate dinner we packed with us pita and hummus, strawberries, and pomegranate and then passed out. we woke up at sunrise the next mornign and it was GORGEOUS!!!! our room overlooked the dead sea and it was all sooo pretty!!! we walked around , had breakfast, lied out at the beach, and went floating in the dead sea! lots of fun! then headed to tlv for shabbas - we stayed with steve again for shabbas. he had some friends over for dinner and we all hung out, slept alot, ate, played cards, etc.. after shabbas we went bowling, had amazing falafel (like the best ive ever had!)  and then jessie headed to th airport, and i back to j-town. and now here i am! having a  little time for myself.. so nice.. and im feeling like 10 times better than i did yesterday so thank goodness!! 

now im sitting in aroma near campus, listenign to awesome playlist and catching up on emails and everything... getting ready for my week! :)
